Projekt READY 21 – Pripravení na 21. storočie
Naša škola bola už tretíkrát úspešná v rámci výziev EEA grants / Norway grants a tentoraz v rámci nórskych fondov získala 158 850,00 € na realizáciu bilaterálneho projektu s Nórskom. Projekt rozvíja spoluprácu medzi školami v Leviciach a Fredrikstade. Potrebou oboch našich škôl je v post-covidovom období inovácia odborného vzdelávania s prepojením na „zelené témy“ s využitím nových metód a technológií, rozvoj kľúčových kompetencií pre 21. storočie, trvalo udržateľný rozvoj. Projektový grant využijú v nórskej škole na zostrojenie veterného a vodného generátora a solárnych panelov, v našej škole na vytvorenie SmartLabu napájaného solárnou energiou. Tento projekt zvýši odborné, digitálne, environmentálne, sociálne kompetencie žiakov a pedagógov a integruje nové technológie do vzdelávania, čím ho priblíži k reálnemu životu. Profitovať z neho bude okrem žiakov a pedagógov oboch škôl aj širšia komunita (základné, stredné školy, verejnosť). Nórsky partner prispeje svojimi bohatými skúsenosťami v oblasti robotiky, 3D tlače, zdravotníctva a sociálnej starostlivosti ako aj manažmentu školy.
V rámci projektu počítame so 6 výmennými návštevami pedagógov aj žiakov v partnerských školách ako aj ďalšími rôznorodými aktivitami ako napr. organizácia konferencií o projekte, enviro seminárov a workshopov, exkurzií do „eko a trvalo udržateľných“ podnikov. Pedagógovia oboch škôl budú priebežne vytvárať nový študijný materiál o zelených technológiách a študenti budú pracovať na 3-jazyčnom anglicko – nórsko – slovenskom slovníku z tejto oblasti. Počas výmenných pobytov budú účastníci navyše spoznávať aj prírodné a kultúrne dedičstvo Nórska a Slovenska.
Očakávame, že naše partnerstvo nás obohatí odborne aj ľudsky, prinesie inováciu kurikula, zdieľanie a výmenu best practice a vytvorí dobrý základ pre ďalšiu spoluprácu aj v iných projektoch. Projekt sa ukončí v apríli 2024.

Project READY 21 – Ready for the 21st century
Our school was successful for the third time in the EEA grants / Norway grants and this time we received €158,850.00 in Norway funds for the implementation of a bilateral project with Norway. The project develops cooperation between schools in Levice and Fredrikstad. The need of both our schools in the post-covid period is the innovation of professional education with a connection to „green topics“ using new methods and technologies, the development of key competencies for the 21st century, sustainable development. The project grant will be used in a Norwegian school to build a wind and water generator and solar panels, and in our school to create a SmartLab powered by solar energy.
This project will increase the professional, digital, environmental and social competences of pupils and teachers and integrate new technologies into education, bringing it closer to real life. In addition to the students and teachers of both schools, the wider community (primary, secondary schools, the public) will benefit from it. The Norwegian partner will contribute with its rich experience in the field of robotics, 3D printing, healthcare and social care as well as school management.
As a part of the project, we expect 6 exchange visits of teachers and students in partner schools as well as other diverse activities such as organization of project conferences, environmental seminars and workshops, excursions to „eco and sustainable“ businesses. The teachers of both schools will continuously create new study material on green technologies and the students will work on a 3-lingual English-Norwegian-Slovak dictionary from this area. During the exchange stays, the participants will also get to know the natural and cultural heritage of Norway and Slovakia.
We expect that our partnership will enrich us both professionally and humanly, bring curriculum innovation, sharing and exchange of best practices, and create a good basis for further cooperation in other projects as well. The project will be closed in April 2024.

Čarovné Nórsko alebo Horúco v ľadovom objatí
Takto nejako by sa dal charakterizovať náš päťdňový študijný pobyt v meste Fredrikstad a v našej partnerskej Glemmen videregående skole v januári 2023. Nórskych priateľov sme navštívili v rámci úspešného projektu READY 21 – Pripravení na 21. storočie (Nórske granty), ktorý budeme spoločne realizovať do apríla 2024.
Napriek mrazivému severskému počasiu sa nám dostalo naozaj vľúdneho prijatia a pozornosti od nórskych kolegov. V rámci plánovaných aktivít sme spoločne odštartovali projekt, zoznámili sme sa so školou a jej kurikulom, absolvovali sme odborné exkurzie v podnikoch s ekologickou či trvalo udržateľnou výrobou Mills či Vamma Powerstation. V škole sme v rámci job shadowingu absolvovali návštevu hodín angličtiny a technických elektro predmetov a zoznámili sme sa s novo vybudovanými priestormi pre študijný program Zdravotnícke technológie. Na záver nášho pobytu sme si ešte stihli pozrieť staré mesto.
Ďakujeme našim nórskym kolegom za ich starostlivosť a tešíme sa na ich recipročnú návštevu našej školy a mesta vo februári 2023.

Magical Norway or Hot in an Icy Hug
This is how our five-day study stay in Fredrikstad and in our partner Glemmen videregående skole in January 2023 could be characterized. We visited our Norwegian friends within the successful project READY 21 – Ready for the 21st century (Norway Grants), which we will jointly implement until April 2024.
Despite the frosty Nordic weather, we received a really warm welcoming and attention from our Norwegian colleagues. As part of the planned activities, we opened the project together, got acquainted with the school and its curriculum, took professional excursions in enterprises with ecological or sustainable production Mills or Vamma Powerstation. At the school, as part of job shadowing, we attended English and technical electrical classes and got acquainted with the newly built premises for the Health Technologies study program. At the end of our stay, we still managed to visit the old town.
We thank our Norwegian colleagues for their care and look forward to their reciprocal visit to our school and town in February 2023.

Privítali sme nórskych priateľov v Leviciach
V týždni 31.1.-4.2.2023 sme hostili 5 nórskych kolegov z partnerskej školy vo Fredrikstade. Pripravili sme pre nich zaujímavý program, keďže Slovensko navštívili prvýkrát. Našich hostí prijalo na levickej radnici vedenie mesta. Po- tom už postupne spoznávali prírodné a kultúrne bohatstvo nášho regiónu. Navštívili synagógu, Tekovské múzeum, Dom ľudového bývania vo Veľkých Lovciach, termálne kúpalisko v Podhájskej. V rámci odborného programu zameraného na zelené technológie a trvalo udržateľný rozvoj absolvovali prehliadku školiaceho strediska v spoločnosti ZF Slovakia, a.s. a exkurziu v spoločnosti Camfil. Dôležitou súčasťou študijného pobytu našich nórskych priateľov bola aj Otváracia konferencia k projektu v priestoroch našej školy. Okrem študentov školy sa jej zúčastnili aj pozvaní hostia — zástupcova mesta Levice, odboru školstva, mládeže, športu a kultúry NSK, základných škôl v meste Levice, miestnych médií. Po predstavení projektu a študijného pobytu levických učiteľov v Nórsku nasledovala veľmi priateľská a neformálna diskusia medzi nórskymi hosťami a našimi študentmi.
Nórski kolegovia zhodnotili svoj pobyt v Leviciach veľmi pozitívne a ocenili náš profesionálny a priateľský prístup. Tešíme sa spoločne na ďalšie 4 výmenné pobyty, ktorých sa už zúčastnia aj študenti oboch našich škôl.

We welcomed Norwegian friends in Levice
In the week of 31/1-4/2, 2023, we hosted 5 Norwegian colleagues from the partner school in Fredrikstad. We prepared an interesting program for them, since they visited Slovakia for the first time. Our guests were welcomed by the town municipality representatives at the Town Hall. After that, they gradually got to know the natural and cultural heritage of our region. They visited the Synagogue, the Tekov museum, the Folk House in Veľké Lovce, the thermal swimming pool in
Podhájska. As a part of the vocational program focused on green technologies and sustainable development, they completed a visit of the training center at ZF Slovakia, a.s. and an excursion in the Camfil company.
An important part of the study stay of our Norwegian friends was also the Opening conference for the project in the premises of our school. In addition to school students, it was also attended by invited guests — representatives of the town Levice, the Department of education, youth, sports and culture of the NSK, elementary schools in the town Levice, local media. After the presentation of the project and the study stay of our teachers in Norway, a very friendly and informal discussion between the Norwegian guests and our students followed.
Norwegian colleagues evaluated their stay in Levice very positively and appreciated our professional and friendly approach.
We are looking forward together to the next 4 exchange stays, in which students and teachers from both schools will participate.

Podrobný opis workshopu:
Workshop „Potopí nás klimatická kríza?“ má za cieľ zaujímavým interaktívnym spôsobom informovať študentov o probléme klimatickej krízy, ktorá je síce často spomínaná, no nedostatočne uchopená najmä v školskom prostredí.
Cieľom workshopu je, aby sa študenti v téme klimatickej zmeny a krízy lepšie zorientovali, aby zistili, čo ju spôsobuje a hlavne aké sú možnosti jej riešenia -či už z pohľadu ich individuálnych, ale aj skupinových rozhodnutí.
Za relevantné výstupy projektu budú považované uvedomenie si vlastnej zodpovednosti zapojených ľudí v boji s klimatickou zmenou, snaha o zmenu správania sa a teda zníženie svojej ekologickej stopy(zisťované v záverečnej diskusii).
V rámci workshopu sa bude na začiatku premietať film „Po nás potopa“, po ktorom bude nasledovať interaktívna diskusia o téme a nakoniec bude prebiehať práca v skupine na spoločnom projekte, ktorý bude skupina následne prezentovať pred triedou. Tento postup má za cieľ lepšie ukotvenie teoretických poznatkov do praxe, podporu študentov v kritickom myslení a tiež zlepšenie prezentácie/obhajoby ich názorov a postojov.
Jednotlivé časti workshopu: 1, premietanie 30 minútového filmu „Po nás potopa“ 2, interaktívna debata so žiakmi a študentmi ohľadom klimatickej zmeny a pohľad na vlastnú uhlíkovú stopu a možnosti jej zmeny (zníženia) 3, práca v skupine na spoločnom projekte a prezentácia výstupov.

Organization of the enviro workshop
Workshop title: „Will the climate crisis sink us„?

Detailed description of the workshop:
The workshop „Will the climate crisis sink us?“ aims to inform students in an interesting interactive way about the problem of the climate crisis, which is often mentioned but insufficiently understood, especially in the school environment.
The goal of the workshop is for students to better understand the topic of climate change and the crisis, to find out what causes itand, above all, what are the possibilities for solving it -both from the point of view of their individual and group decisions.
The relevant outputs of the project will be the raising awareness of the personal responsibility of the people involved in the fight against climate change, the effort to change their behavior and thus reduce their ecological footprint (found in the final discussion).
As part of the workshop, the film „After us the flood“ will be shown at the beginning, followed by an interactive discussion about the topic, and finally there will be group work on a common project, which the group will then present to the class. This procedure aims to better anchor theoretical knowledge in practice, support students in critical thinking, and also improve the presentation/defense of their opinions and attitudes.

Workshopy o trvalo udržateľnom rozvoji
22.3.2023 absolvovali žiaci II.C a III.C workshopy o trvalo udržateľnom rozvoji pod vedením lektora p. Michala Kutlíka z OZ Pestrec. Cieľom aktivity, ktorá sa uskutočnila v rámci nórsko-slovenského projektu „Pripravení na 21. storočie“, bolo zaujímavým a interaktívnym spôsobom zorientovať žiakov v téme trvalo udržateľného rozvoja, uvedomenie si vlastnej zodpovednosti v boji s klimatickou zmenou, motivácia pre snahu o zmenu správania sa a teda zníženie svojej ekologickej stopy. Po premietnutí krátkeho eko filmu nasledovala interaktívna diskusia o téme a nakoniec práca v skupinách na spoločnom projekte, ktorý skupina následne prezentovala pred triedou. Tento postup podporil žiakov v kritickom myslení a zlepšil ich prezentácie vlastných názorov a postojov.

Workshops on sustainable development
On March 22, 2023, II.C and III.C students completed workshops on sustainable development under the guidance of lecturer Mr. Michal Kutlík from Pestrec civil association. The aim of the activity, which was carried out as a part of the Norwegian-Slovak project „Ready for the 21st Century“, was to orient the pupils in an interesting and interactive way on the topic of sustainable development, awareness of their own responsibility in the fight against climate change, motivation for trying to change their behavior and thus reducing their ecological footprint.
The screening of a short eco-film was followed by an interactive discussion on the topic and finally work in groups on a joint project, which the group later presented in front of the class. This activity supported students in critical thinking and improved presenting their own opinions and attitudes.

Exkurzia v levickom závode spoločnosti Camfil
3. 5. 2023 sa študenti odboru komerčný pracovník v doprave zúčastnili exkurzie v spoločnosti CAMFIL. Ide o popredného švédskeho výrobcu filtračných zariadení. Exkurzia sa uskutočnila v rámci projektu „Ready for the 21st century“, ktorý naša škola implementuje vďaka finančnej podpore z Norway grants.
Riaditeľ levického závodu pán Imrich Mészáros nám predstavil firmu a jej úspechy. Prezradil nám celú históriu firmy. Dozvedeli sme sa, že skratka CAMFIL vznikla zo slov CAMbridge FILters. Jeho prezentácia sa uskutočnila v zasadacej miestnosti s množstvom filtračných zariadení, ktoré zlepšovali kvalitu vzduchu v miestnosti. Pri prezentácii bolo vidno, že firma je taktiež zameraná na trvalo udržateľný rozvoj a to už od jej založenia.
Po predstavení spoločnosti sme si nasadili ochranné – reflexné vesty určené pre návštevníkov a presunuli sme sa do výrobnej haly. Tu nám pán Meszároš predstavil výrobné procesy, stroje, ich vlastné inovácie, a mali sme možnosť vidieť a porovnať efektivitu rôznych druhov činnosti. Niektoré úkony už boli automatizované robotmi alebo minimálne poloautomatizované. Ukázali nám stroje na šitie filtrov, materiály, montážne linky, stroje na balenie a kontrolu kvality výrobkov. V každej hale boli umiestnené obrovské filtre nad strojmi, aby sa tam lepšie dýchalo.
Na koniec exkurzie sme prešli do skladu, kde nám bol vysvetlený systém skladovania tovaru, materiálu a ich výrobkov, ktoré sú pripravené na expedíciu. Ukázali nám systém, ktorý ich sprevádza pri expedícii, a následnej nakládke výrobkov.
Potom sme sa vrátili späť do zasadačky, kde sme mali uschované osobné veci. Tu nás ponúkli vodou a drobnými občerstvením. Na záver sme si ešte pozreli jedáleň, ktorá je síce menšia, ale veľmi moderná. A potom sme sa už rozlúčili a išli sme naspäť do školy. Celé doobedie sme si užili a určite by sme radi išli na takéto typy odborných exkurzií aj viackrát. Radi by sme sa touto cestou poďakovali riaditeľovi závodu spoločnosti Camfil v Leviciach pánovi Imrichovi Mészárošovi za jeho ochotu a čas, ktorý nám venoval.

Excursion in the Levice plant of the Camfil company
On May 3, 2023, students of the Logistics in transport participated in an excursion to the CAMFIL company. It is a leading Swedish manufacturer of filter equipment. The excursion took place as a part of the „Ready for the 21st century“ project, which our school implements thanks to financial support from Norway grants.
The director of the Levice factory, Mr. Imrich Mészáros, introduced us the company and its achievements. He told us the entire history of the company. We learned that the acronym CAMFIL was derived from the words CAMbridge FILters. His presentation took place in the seminar room with lots of filtration equipments that improved the air quality in the room. During the presentation, it was clear that the company has also been focused on sustainable development since its foundation.
After the introduction of the company, we put on protective – reflective vests designed for visitors and moved to the production hall. Here Mr. Mészároš introduced us the production processes, machines, their own innovations and we had the opportunity to see and compare the effectiveness of different types of activities. Some processes have already been automated by robots or at least semi-automated. They showed us filter sewing machines, materials, assembly lines, packaging machines and product quality control. In each hall, huge filters were placed above the machines for better breathing.
At the end of the excursion, we went to the warehouse, where the system of storing goods, materials and their products, which are ready for shipment, was explained to us. They showed us the system that accompanies them during shipping and subsequent loading of products.
Then we went back to the seminar room where we kept our personal belongings. Here they offered us water and small snacks. Finally, we looked at the dining room, which is smaller but very modern. And then we said goodbye and went back to school.
We enjoyed the whole morning and would definitely like to go on these types of vocational excursions more times. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the director of the Camfil plant in Levice, Mr. Imrich Mészároš, for his willingness and the time he devoted to us.

Náš študijný pobyt v Nórsku
V dňoch 29.5 až 4.6. 2023 sme absolvovali študijný pobyt 2 učiteľov a 6 študentov v Nórskom meste Fredrikstad. V rámci neho sme absolvovali viacero exkurzií na výrobných a ekologicky zameraných farmách, návštevu študentského tréningového centra na univerzite a tréningového centra pre praktické vyučovanie.
Prvý deň sme autobusom a následne trajektom, ktorý nás preniesol cez fjordy, zavítali do „Den fantastiske fabrikken“ – podniku, ktorá slúži na spracovanie BIO odpadov. Z nich vyrábajú metán, plyn aj hnojivo. Po príchode sme sa usadili v skleníku, kde nám predstavili celkový chod fabriky. Dozvedeli sme sa na základe akých pravidiel separujú odpad, vysvetlili nám, že zvýšením CO2 v prostredí má fotosyntéza väčšiu účinnosť. Následne nás previedli továrňou s jej typickým zápachom. Videli sme spracovanie organického odpadu. Všetok plyn z BIO masy oddeľujú pomocou vody na dve časti – metán a CO2. Následne je CO2 prepravovaný do skleníkov, v ktorých pestujú paradajky. V zemi bolo veľké množstvo červíkov a kobyliek (sú tiež jedlé). Obedovali sme recyklovaný chlieb, organické paradajky, domácu bazalku, maslo, a taktiež sme mali možnosť ochutnať aj sušené červíky a kobylky. Vyskúšali sme si separovanie odpadov a nakoniec sme hrali skupinovú hru, kde úlohou bolo nazbierať čo najviac blokov do košíka. Bloky boli farebne rozlíšené, červených bolo najmenej, znázorňovali najdôležitejšie zdroje planéty z periodickej tabuľky, ktoré sa najviac míňajú (zlato, volfrám,..)
Ďalší deň sme navštívili fabriku, ktorá je poháňaná riekou tečúcou z hôr. Táto fabrika každú hodinu spracuje kamión dreva. Následne sme pokračovali prehliadkou Nórska, kde sme prešli cez 6 ostrovov a podhorským tunelom. Na jednom z ostrovov nám ukázali lov podmorských živočíchov, ich spracovanie, skladovanie a mrazenie. Odniesli sme si na ochutnanie mrazené krevety, ktoré sme si všetci spoločne vychutnali na krásnom pobreží. O našich študentov bolo veľmi dobre postarané. Venovali sa im nórski študenti, ktorí ich v popoludňajších a večerných hodinách previedli starým mestom s bohatou zaujímavou architektúrou, s pozvaním na bowling, pizzu a ochutnávku tunajšej zmrzliny.
Štvrtok bol výnimočný, strávili sme ho na vysokej škole, s ktorou naša hosťujúca škola Glemmen nadviazala spoluprácu v rámci odborného a praktického vyučovania. Pripravený bol zaujímavý program pre študentov, kde ich úlohou bolo zahrať sa na pracovníkov IKEY a z kartónu vytvoriť držiak na telefón. Každý zo skupinky musel vytvoriť vlastný návrh, spracovať ho a odprezentovať. Bol vyhlásený aj najlepší tím. My, pedagógovia, sme mali pracovné dopoludnie, kde sme si navzájom predstavili pripravované projektové aktivity. Nórski kolegovia si prevzali pripravené dokumenty týkajúce sa trojjazyčného slovníka a predstavili nám svoju aktivitu. Ide sa o ekologický strom, ktorého hliníkovú konštrukciu a technológie využijú na spracovanie energií zo slnka, vetra a vody. Riadenie zostavy budú obsluhovať mikrokontroléry rovnako ako aj v našom projekte. Naši zahraniční kolegovia sa zasa dozvedeli viac o našej plánovanej učebni SmartLab pre programovanie mikrokontrolérov a jej ekologicky najnižšej uhlíkovej stope, ktorú zabezpečia solárne panely. Spoluprácou na projekte by sme v ideálnom prípade mohli dosiahnuť spojenie výsledkov oboch projektov umiestnením miniatúr stromov vedľa našich smartHome mikrokontrolérmi ovládaných domov a ulíc.
Piatkový deň sme začali odchodom na pracoviská praktického vyučovania partnerskej školy Glemmen. Študenti spoločne prezúvali zimné gumy na letné, vyskúšali si vysokozdvižné vozíky aj trenažéry. Na zdviháku si trénovali prekládku obrovských debien, ktoré sa mali položiť na určité miesto. Najzaujímavejším bodom pre študentov bol kamiónový simulátor. Popoludní nás čakali ukážky a práca s dronmi. Popísali nám činnosti a pravidlá, ktoré sa musia pri prevádzkovaní dronov dodržať.
V sobotu sme spoznávali ďalšie zaujímavosti Škandinávie a ochutnávali sme severskú kuchyňu. Večer nasledovalo balenie batožiny a príprava na nedeľný návrat domov.
Our study visit in Norway
From 29.5 to 4.6, 2023 we experienced a study visit for 6 students and 2 accompanying teachers in the Norwegian city of Fredrikstad. As a part of it, we completed several excursions to production and ecologically oriented farms, a visit to the student training center at the university and the practice training center.
On the 1st day, we tused a bus and then a ferry that took us across the fjords to „Den fantastical fabrikken“ – the company that processes BIO waste. They produce methane, gas and fertilizer from them. Upon arrival, we settled in the greenhouse, where they presented us the overall operation of the factory. We learned about the rules they separate waste, they explained to us that by increasing CO2 in the environment, photosynthesis becomes more efficient. We were then shown around the factory with its typical smell. We saw the processing of organic waste. All the gas from BIO masses is separated with the help of water into two parts – methane and CO2. Subsequently, CO2 is transported to the greenhouses where tomatoes are grown. There was a large number of worms and grasshoppers in the ground (they are also edible). We ate recycled bread, organic tomatoes, homemade basil, butter for lunch and we also had the opportunity to taste dried worms and grasshoppers. We tried separating waste and finally played a group game where the task was to collect as many blocks as possible in the basket. The blocks were colored, the red ones were the least, they represented the most important resources of the planet from the periodic table, which are the most wasted (gold, tungsten,…)
The next day we visited the factory that is powered by the river flowing from the mountains. This factory processes a truckload of wood every hour. We then continued with a tour of Norway, where we passed through 6 islands and a foothill tunnel. On one of the islands, they showed us the hunting of underwater animals, their processing, storage and freezing. We took frozen shrimp to taste which we all enjoyed together on the beautiful coast. Our students were very well taken care of. They were accompanied by Norwegian students who in the afternoon and evening took them through the old town with its rich and interesting architecture inviting them to bowling, pizza and tasting the local ice cream.
Thursday was special, we spent it at the college with which our partner school Glemmen has established cooperation within the framework of professional and practical teaching. An interesting program was prepared for the students where their task was to play IKEA workers and they had to make a phone holder out of cardboard. Everyone from the group had to create his own proposal, process it and present it. The best team was also announced. We, the teachers, had a working morning, where we presented the planned project activities to each other. The Norwegian colleagues took over the prepared documents related to the trilingual dictionary and presented their activity to us. It is an ecological tree whose aluminum construction and technologies will be used to process energy from the sun, wind and water. The control of the assembly will be operated by microcontrollers, just like in our project. Our foreign colleagues learned more about our planned SmartLab classroom for programming microcontrollers and its ecologically lowest carbon footprint, which will be ensured by solar panels. By collaborating on the project, we could ideally achieve a combination of the results of both projects by placing miniature trees next to our smartHome microcontroller-controlled houses and streets.
We started the Friday by going to the practical training workplaces of the Glemmen partner school. Students changed winter tires to summer tires together, tried out forklifts and trainers. On the hoist, they practiced transshipping huge crates that had to be placed in a certain place. The most interesting point for the students was the truck simulator. In the afternoon, demonstrations and work with drones awaited us. They described the activities and rules that must be followed when operating drones.
On Saturday, we got to know other attractions of Scandinavia and tasted the Nordic cuisine. The evening was about packing our luggage and preparation for returning home on Sunday.
Opäť sme privítali našich nórskych partnerov v Leviciach
V týždni 05.06 – 09.06.2023 sme opäť hostili našich nórskych priateľov. Navštívilo nás 6 študentov s 3 sprevádzajúcimi učiteľmi. Pre hostí sme pripravili pestrý a zaujímavý program v súlade s plánom aktivít:
– Privítanie nórskej delegácie našou p. riaditeľkou, prehliadka školy, návšteva vyučovacích hodín, stretnutie s našimi študentmi
– exkurzia Energoland – JE Mochovce
– exkurzia v meste Nitra spojená so sprievodcovanou prehliadkou Botanickej záhrady, návšteva Nitrianskeho hradu, katedrály a starého mesta
– prijatie hostí na Mestskom úrade, stretnutie a diskusia s primátorom mesta Levice
– exkurzia „Prírodné a technické dedičstvo regiónu“ – návšteva ZŠ v Štiavnických Baniach: flóra a fauna v živote školy, sokoliarska škola
– prehliadka Banskej Štiavnice, návšteva štýlovej reštaurácie Erb s ukážkami výroby domáceho piva, prehliadka jazier /tajchy/ v okolí mesta
– exkurzia do štôlne Bartolomej s múzeom baníctva
– workshop so študentmi v škole o rozvoji podnikateľských kompetencií v študentských firmách (3.B trieda), predstavenie študentskej hry Mystery Taxi, neformálne rozhovory
– preprava vlakom do obce Podhájska: exkurzia v areáli so sprievodcom, prezentácia využitia geotermálneho zdroja na ohrev teplej vody a vykurovanie skleníkov, liečivé pramene
– exkurzia v spoločnosti Camfil, závod Levice (výroba filtrov)
Na väčšine aktivít sa zúčastňovali aj naši študenti – účastníci študijného pobytu v Nórsku, čo ocenili najmä nórski študenti. Podľa slov našich hostí sa im pobyt v Leviciach a vôbec na Slovensku veľmi páčil a všetci sa už tešíme na ďalší výmenný pobyt v apríli 2024.

We hosted again our Norwegian partners in Levice
In the week of 05/06 – 09/06,2023 we hosted our Norwegian friends. Six students with three accompanying teachers visited us for a week. We prepared a varied and interesting program for the guests in accordance with the activity plan:
– welcoming the Norwegian delegation by our Mrs Headmistress, tour of the school, visit to classes, meeting with our students
– excursion to Energoland – NPP Mochovce
– an excursion in the city of Nitra combined with a guided tour of the Botanical Garden, a visit to the Nitra Castle, the cathedral and the old town
– inviting the guests to the Town Hall, meeting and discussion with the Mayor of Levice
– excursion „Natural and technical heritage of the region“ – visit to elementary school in Štiavnické Bane: flora and fauna in school life, falconry school
– a tour of Banská Štiavnica, a visit to the stylish restaurant Erb with demonstrations of home-brewed beer production, a tour of the lakes /tajchy/ around the town
– excursion to the Bartolomej tunnel with the mining museum
– workshop with students at the school on the development of entrepreneurial competences in student companies (3rd B class), presentation of the student game Mystery Taxi, informal discussions
– travel by train to the village Podhájska with the swimming pool: excursion in the area with a guide, presentation of the use of geothermal resources for hot water heating and heating of greenhouses, healing springs
– excursion to the Camfil company, Levice plant (filter production).
Most of the activities were also attended by our students – participants of the study stay in Norway, which was especially appreciated by the Norwegian students. According to our guests, they really liked their stay in Levice and Slovakia in general, and we are all looking forward to the next exchange visit in April 2024.

Ďalší študijný pobyt našich žiakov v Nórsku
V dňoch 8. až 14. apríla 2024 sa šesť našich žiakov a dvaja učitelia zúčastnili študijného pobytu v nórskom Fredrikstade. Prvý deň sme venovali príchodu a ubytovaniu sa v meste spolu s večerou v lokálnej reštaurácii. V ďalších dňoch sme sa zoznámili s nórskymi žiakmi a kolegami, ktorí nám pripravili veľmi zaujímavú prehliadku po škole a odborných učebniach. Vzali nás do “ escape room“ – aktivita sa nám všetkým veľmi páčila a zažili sme veľa zábavy. Neskôr sme absolvovali vynikajúce aktivity v odborných učebniach, napr. keď sme mali za úlohu zostrojiť most a naprogramovať auto, ktoré po ňom prejde. Poobedia sme zvyčajne venovali prechádzkam po historickom centre mesta Fredrikstad. Na piatok si pre nás pripravili zaujímavú celodennú exkurziu do čokoládovne Freia v meste Oslo spojenú s prehliadkou hlavného mesta a nákupmi v centre. Večer sme mali rozlúčkovú večeru s našimi nórskymi kolegami. Sobotný program sme venovali ďalšiemu spoznávaniu krajiny a baleniu sa na nedeľnú cestu domov.
Another study stay of our students in Norway
From April 8 to 14, 2024, six of our students and two teachers took part in a study stay in Fredrikstad, Norway. We dedicated the first day to arrival and accommodation in the town together with dinner in a local restaurant. In the following days, we got to know the Norwegian pupils and colleagues, who prepared a very interesting tour of the school and special classrooms for us. They took us to the „escape room“ – we all really liked the activity and had a lot of fun. Later, we completed excellent activities in vocational classrooms, e.g. when we were tasked with building a bridge and programming the Lego car to drive over it. We usually spent afternoons walking around the historic center of Fredrikstad. On Friday, they prepared for us an interesting full-day excursion to the Freia chocolate factory in the city of Oslo, combined with a tour of the capital and shopping in the center. In the evening we had a farewell dinner with our Norwegian colleagues. We devoted the Saturday program to getting to know better the country and packing for the Sunday journey home.
Posledný študijný pobyt nórskych priateľov v Leviciach
V dňoch 21. až 27. apríla 2024 naša škola opäť privítala žiakov a učiteľov z partnerskej školy v Nórsku. Čakal ich program plný aktivít, zaujímavostí a nových zážitkov. V pondelok sa hostia stretli s primátorom mesta Levice, ktorý ich slávnostne privítal na radnici mesta Levice. Následne sa zoznámili s vedením našej školy a našimi priestormi. Pozreli si rôzne odborné a jazykové učebne a rovnako aj IoT učebňu – SmartLab, ktorý je financovaný z nórskeho finančného mechanizmu. Absolvovali prvý workshop v rámci cyklu Eko dni v našej škole, nakoľko práve v tento deň sme si pripomínali Deň Zeme. Spoločne sme si zdieľali skúsenosti o ekologickom správaní v našich školách a vyplnili dotazník o svojom ekologickom správaní.
Poobede sa účastníci presunuli do Elektrárne Mochovce, kde mali odbornú exkurziu s výkladom, množstvo otázok aj noviniek, ktoré ich nadchli. Ďalšie dni boli venované zoznamovaniu sa zahraničných a našich žiakov. Hrali spoločne rôzne logické hry, zažili vyučovanie cudzích jazykov a skúsili si rôzne aktivity. V utorok 23.4.2024 sme absolvovali Záverečnú konferenciu k projektu, na ktorej sa zúčastnili pozvaní hostia z Úradu prace, sociálnych vecí a rodiny, Mesta Levice, ďalších stredných škôl v meste. V stredu sme sa presunuli do mesta Kremnica, kde sme si pozreli historické centrum mesta, hrad spoločne so záhradami, a dali sme si výborný obed v poľovníckej reštaurácii. Exkurziu sme zavŕšili prehliadkou mincovne, kde sme sa dozvedeli o výrobe mincí v histórii až po dnešok a mohli si vyraziť svoje vlastné mince. Vo štvrtok nás čakal v škole ďalší Eko deň spojený so seminárom a workshopom o Európskej zelenej dohode a iniciatívach Nového európskeho Bauhausu. Poobedie venovali návštevníci prehliadke mesta Levice a nákupom suvenírov. V piatok doobeda sme ich študijný pobyt zavŕšili odbornou exkurziou v spoločnosti Camfil, ktorá sa venuje výrobe filtrov, kde sme mali možnosť vidieť celý proces až po expedíciu výrobkov do zahraničia. Nórski hostia mali veľa otázok a celý pobyt u nás na Slovensku si veľmi užili. Odchádzali plní dobrej nálady, nových zážitkov a kamarátstiev, ktoré si za tak krátky čas vybudovali.
The last study stay of Norwegian friends in Levice
From April 21 to 27, 2024, our school again welcomed students and teachers from the partner school in Norway. A program full of activities, interesting things and new experiences awaited them.
On Monday, the guests met the Mayor of the city of Levice, who ceremonially welcomed them at the town hall. Subsequently, they got to know the management of our school and our premises. visited various vocational and language classrooms as well as the IoT classroom – SmartLab which is financed by the Norwegian financial mechanism. They completed the first workshop within the cycle of Eco Days in our school, as we commemorated the Earth Day on this very day. Together we shared experience about ecological behavior in our schools and filled out a questionnaire about our ecological thinking. In the afternoon, the participants moved to Elektrárne Mochovce, where they had a professional excursion with an explanation, a lot of questions and news that excited them.
Other days were devoted to getting to know foreign and our students. They played different logic games together, experienced teaching foreign languages and tried different activities. On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, we held the Closing Conference for the project, which was attended by invited guests from the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family, the City of Levice, and other secondary vocational schools in the town.
On Wednesday, we moved to the town of Kremnica where we saw the historic center, the castle together with the gardens and had an excellent lunch in a hunting restaurant. We finished the excursion with a tour of the Mint where we learned about the production of coins throughout history up to the present days and were able to mint our own coins.
On Thursday, another Eco day was waiting for us at the school, connected with a seminar and workshop on the European Green Agreement and the initiatives of the New European Bauhaus. The visitors spent the afternoon touring the town of Levice and buying souvenirs.
On Friday morning, we ended their study stay with a vocational excursion to the Camfil company which is engaged in the production of filters. We had the opportunity to see the entire process up to the shipment of products abroad. The Norwegian guests had many questions and enjoyed their entire stay with us in Slovakia. They left full of good mood, new experiences and friendships that they built in such a short time.
Ukončili sme bilaterálny projekt Ready 21
30. apríla 2024 sme ukončili náš spoločný projekt s nórskou školou Glemmen z Fredrikstadu. Projekt bol zameraný na zelené technológie a trvalo udržateľný rozvoj. Zároveň rozvíjal kľúčové kompetencie pedagógov a žiakov potrebné pre 21. storočie. V aktivitách sme dôsledne dodržiavali princíp inklúzie s rovnakými príležitosťami pre mužov, ženy, znevýhodnených účastníkov.
23. apríla 2024 sme zrealizovali Záverečnú konferenciu k projektu. V tomto týždni sme hostili poslednú skupinu nórskych študentov a pedagógov v Leviciach. Po online príhovore zástupkyne Výskumnej agentúry v Bratislave (správca programu) sa účastníkom prihovorili primátor mesta Levice ako aj náš kolega Ronny z nórskej školy. V rámci konferencie sme predstavili ciele, aktivity a výsledky projektu. Formou prezentácií a videí sme priblížili divákom študijné pobyty žiakov.
Hlavnými aktivitami v projekte bola tvorba študijných materiálov s dôrazom na zelené technológie a trvalo udržateľný rozvoj (študijné texty, pracovné listy, 3-jazyčný odborný slovník), organizovanie enviro a TUR seminárov a workshopov, eko dní v oboch školách, 6 študijných pobytov pre pedagógov aj žiakov, exkurzií do eko podnikov či významných lokalít v rámci prírodného a kultúrneho dedičstva našich krajín.
Technická časť nášho projektu bola zameraná na vybudovanie SmartLabu napájaného slnečnou energiou (Slovensko) a konštrukciu veternej, vodnej turbíny a solárnych článkov (Nórsko).
Čo nám tento projekt dal? Všetkých účastníkov obohatil po stránke odbornej aj ľudskej. Dozvedeli sme sa viac o zelených technológiách a zásadách trvalo udržateľného rozvoja, obohatíme si kurikulum rôznych predmetov vďaka odborným študijným materiálom. Exkurzie, semináre, workshopy s odborníkmi nás viac priblížili k reálnemu životu. Zlepšili sme svoje digitálne a cudzojazyčné zručnosti.
Po stránke ľudskej sme sa obohatili o nové kontakty a priateľstvá, lepšie sme spoznali svoje školy, mestá, krajiny. Vďaka rôznorodým aktivitám v zmiešaných tímoch sme rozvíjali mäkké zručnosti – najmä toleranciu, empatiu, sebaúctu a asertivitu, prezentačné zručnosti. Zdieľali sme navzájom svoje názory a skúsenosti, čím sme si vytvorili dobrý základ pre budúcu spoluprácu v ďalších projektoch.
We closed the Ready 21 bilateral project
On April 30, 2024, we finished our joint project with the Norwegian school Glemmen from Fredrikstad. The project was focused on green technologies and sustainable development. At the same time, he developed the key competencies of teachers and students necessary for the 21st century. In our activities, we consistently followed the principle of inclusion with equal opportunities for men, women and disadvantaged participants.
On April 23, 2024, we held the Closing conference for the project. This week we hosted the last group of Norwegian students and teachers in Levice. After the online address of the representative of the Research Agency in Bratislava (Program Operator), the Mayor of Levice and our colleague Ronny from Norwegian school addressed the participants. During the conference, we presented the goals, activities and results of the project. In the form of presentations and videos, we brought the students‘ study stays closer to the audience.
The main activities in the project were the creation of study materials with an emphasis on green technologies and sustainable development (study texts, worksheets, 3-language vocational dictionary), organizing enviro and sustainability seminars and workshops, eco days in both schools, 6 study stays for teachers and students as well, excursions to eco businesses or important locations within the natural and cultural heritage of our countries.
The technical part of our project was focused on building a SmartLab powered by solar energy (Slovakia) and construction of a wind, water turbine and solar cells (Norway).
What did this project give us? It enriched all the participants both professionally and personally. We learned more about green technologies and principles of sustainable development, we will enrich the curriculum of various subjects thanks to vocational study materials. Excursions, seminars, workshops with experts brought us closer to real life. We improved our digital and foreign language skills.
On the human side, we were enriched by new contacts and friendships, we got to know our schools, cities, and countries better. Thanks to various activities in mixed teams we developed soft skills – especially tolerance, empathy, self-esteem and assertiveness, presentation skills. We shared our opinions and experiences with each other, thus creating a good basis for future cooperation in other projects.

Projekt „Pripravení pre 21. storočie“ získal grant z Nórska v sume 158 850 €. Projekt bol spolufinancovaný v sume 23 828 € zo štátneho rozpočtu Slovenskej republiky. Cieľom projektu je inovovať obsah odborného vzdelávania s dôrazomna zelené technológie a trvalo udržateľný rozvoj.

Zviditeľnili sme našu školu na Záverečnej konferencii NO grants
8. novembra 2024 sme sa zúčastnili Záverečnej konferencie programu
Rozvoj obchodu, inovácií a MSP v Bratislave na základe pozvania Výskumnej agentúry (správca programu), aby sme predstavili náš projekt „Pripravení na 21. storočie“, ktorý sme realizovali v spolupráci s nórskou školou Glemmen videregående skole vo Fredrikstade.
Konferenciu otvorili zástupcovia MŠVVaM SR, Výskumnej agentúry, MIRRI SR, a prítomným sa prihovoril aj p. Bjørn Christian Rydmark, zástupca vedúcej misie, z Veľvyslanectva Nórskeho kráľovstva vo Viedni.
Nasledovali prezentácie úspešných projektov podporených z Norway grants v 2 blokoch – Vzdelávacie projekty a Inovačné biznis projekty. Ako jediná stredná škola na Slovensku sme „vyrozprávali“ náš projektový príbeh od hľadania nórskeho partnera cez množstvo zaujímavých aktivít až po jeho ukončenie a zároveň sme odpovedali na otázky nórskych donorov. Teší nás uznanie, ktoré sme následne dostali zo strany Výskumnej agentúry, zástupcov vysokých škôl ako aj biznis podnikov ohľadom obsahu a realizácie nášho projektu. Naším vystúpením sme tak uzatvorili náš v poradí už 3. úspešný projekt financovaný v rámci EEA a Norway grants.
Rovnako nás potešila aj informácia o novej pripravovanej výzve a prebiehajúcich rokovaniach s donorskými štátmi. Ak bude výzva zaujímavá pre našu školu, určite zvážime opätovné zapojenie sa a tvorbu nového projektu.
We made our school visible at the NO grants Closing Conference
On November 8, 2024, we participated in the Closing Conference of the program
Development of trade, innovation and SMEs in Bratislava based on the invitation of the Research Agency (Program Operator) to present our project „Prepared for the 21st century“, which we implemented in cooperation with the Norwegian school Glemmen videregående skole in Fredrikstad.
The conference was opened by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Slovak Republic, the Research Agency, MIRRI SR, and Mr. Bjørn Christian Rydmark, Deputy Head of Mission, from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Vienna.
This was followed by presentations of successful projects supported by Norway grants in 2 blocks – Educational projects and Innovative business projects. As the only secondary school in Slovakia, we „told“ our project story from the search for a Norwegian partner through a number of interesting activities to its completion, and at the same time we answered the questions of the Norwegian donors. We are pleased with the recognition we subsequently received from the Research Agency, representatives of universities and business enterprises regarding the content and implementation of our project. With our performance, we thus concluded our 3rd successful project financed within the framework of the EEA and Norway grants.
We were also pleased with the information about the new call being prepared and ongoing negotiations with the donor states. If the Call is interesting for our school, we will definitely consider getting involved again and creating a new project.
